Decimal To Fraction Gives Long and Inaccurate Fraction

Describe the bug

I was doing a maths question in which you need to give your answer as a fraction
After solving the question I got my answer as 71.47058824.
Then when numworks tries to convert it into a fraction it gives me 35735294117647 / 500000000000.
Even tough it should of been 1215/17

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to any numworks app
2. Type any fraction with a denominator that has a prime number greater than 2
3. The calculator will give you a decimal number
4. Copy the decimal number into the calculator and click enter
5. The calculator wont convert that decimal into the number original fraction rather a overcomplicated fraction

Expected behavior

When reverting from a decimal to a fraction the calculator should give the fraction you entered originally

Hello, I think that you have a misconception of what corresponds to the decimal value. The actual result is 1215/17 that cannot be reduced. When you write this number as a decimal number, it has an infinite amount of digits, that the calculator can't write for obvious reasons. So to solve this problem, the Numworks gives you 1215/17 and an approximation of the decimal value (as indicated by the ≈). So if you copy the decimal value instead of the fraction, you copy the approximation. The approximation has a finite length so it can be written has a fraction too. If you want an infinite precision, you have to copy the fraction instead.

The fraction returned should not have such a big denominator, unless the conversion algorithm is really naive... Using exact inside KhiCAS returns the initial fraction 1217/15.

By the way, you can solve this analytic geometry problem inside KhiCAS:

I'm using it for college so CAS is not allowed, otherwise I would be getting 100% on every test.
I've tried CAS before and its very powerful but it will do me more harm then good.

I fully disagree with that, appropriate CAS usage does not harm.
Anyway, my answer is an information for users living in countries where CAS is allowed, like here in France or for those who want to check homework in other countries.
