MPS Icon (a JetBrains product)

Icon is missing for MPS, a JetBrains IDE that is part of their suite of products that also includes PHPStorm, CLion, RubyMine, and others.

Note: Unfortunately, as is the case for all of the JetBrains' products, the Icon path in their default .desktop file is hard-coded. As such, I've added icon information instead following the naming conventions already used for the JetBrains products you currently support.

Icon Info:

Name=MPS

# using their 17.x series:
Icon=jetbrains-jetbrains-mps

# using their 18.x series:
Icon=jetbrains-mps

# using their old, beta, non-versioned preview series:
Icon=mps

@robfrawley Do you know if this still hardcoded or if the icon name has changed to jetbrains-XXX along the lines of #4198?

@palob Along with the others, the icon name has also changed for MPS, but with some complications and inconsistencies.

The icon name for the current stable release 173.1767 is jetbrains-jetbrains-mps, which was obviously an error on their part when packaging the 17-series releases. As far as I can tell this error has remained through at least two or three of the prior 17.x releases; it doesn't appear they intend to fix it through a minor release.

But, the upcoming release 181.893 (which can be obtained through JetBrain's "Early Access Program" and is part of their 18-series releases), fixes this mis-packaging and more sanely uses jetbrains-mps as the icon name.

Many people will be using the 17.x series for some time, some people are already using the 18.x series, and the 18.x series will be stably released in the coming months. Can you add both icon names for the same icon?

I've updated the issue description with the new corrected icons names, as well.
