This PR includes a lot of valuable corrections and improvements, I'm interested in it as well.
I see the other PRs about translations have been reviewed by @CendioOssman or @CendioZeijlon, can you please take a look? Thanks a lot!

These are a surprising number of different languages from the same person. So I'm afraid I have to ask for a source for these. Are these machine-generated?

I'm having a hard time believing that so many of our existing translations need to be changed.

A question about the German translations. The translations for Connecting..., Disconnecting... and Reconnecting...; doesn't your new translation say that the event has already occurred?

For example:
Verbindung wird hergestellt... translates to Connected... rather than Connecting...?

Thank you for reviewing and asking, hope I can help explain it clearly.
For US English Microsoft voice, verb tense helps to convey the clarity of Microsoft voice. Simple tenses are used.

"German Style in Status bar Messages
In English, the status bar messages have different forms dependent on the information they must convey. These messages usually use a verb in the "-ing" form plus three dots in the end. In German, the passive voice (Vorgangspassiv - see example below) is used.
Difficulties can arise if this convention is not kept in the US text and the status or progress message is not immediately recognizable as such (although sometimes the Resource ID will tell)."
