…sensible content in pip/__init__.pyi and pip/_vendor/__init__.pyi. An alternative approach might have been to move the tests/typing/untracked-vendored-stubs/pip/_vendor/ contents to the real source ./src/pip/_vendor, but this would need a clear gitignore.

@pelson this is an interesting approach but please don't raise this PR against my fork repo. Also there's no rush, the earliest this can be solved is after the pip 25.2 release cycle. |
