Situation
Running citgm microtime fails on macOS & Windows for Node.js 22 - 26
Repo CI https://github.com/wadey/node-microtime/blob/master/.github/workflows/test.yml runs in Node.js 14 - 20, on ubuntu, macos & windows.
Cloning the repo and running local tests using:
- Windows 11 26H2
- Visual Studio 2022 & 2026
- Python 3.14
fails to install with:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'distutils'
...
gyp ERR! node-gyp -v v9.4.1
gyp ERR! not ok
for Node.js 22, 24 & 26

Run https://github.com/nodejs/citgm/actions/workflows/test-module.yml
