Not connecting

Hi,

I'm trying to use the extension in my Visual Code, but it's not connecting. The status bar shows "Deck | Connecting".

I'm using Visual Studio Code 1.74.3 on Mac.
Version of your extension is v4.1.6

StreamDeck v6.0.2
Plugin v5.1.3

I'm working locally (no SSH)

I don't see any error in the JS Console.
Looking at the Output for StreamDeck in VS, I see it constantly connecting and disconnecting:

It seems that all it needed was a reboot...

I have noticed that if I restart the stream deck software vscode will not reconnect until I reboot or change the port in vscode and the sd plugin. There is an error in the sd plugin log that says address is in use.

I also see the same on M1 Max Mac. It constantly tries to connect and fails (in Vscode log)

I have this problem too, but i cant seem to figure out how to get it to connect..

I tried rebooting Stream Deck, laptop and VS code with no luck so far.

Any tips?

Same problem, which never occured for me before. I opened #57 for it. I guess I'll let maintainer decide to keep that one open or close as duplicate. Problem is clearly that the SD plugin doesn't open a listening port -- nothing to do with vscode per se AFAICT. If someone knows where the logs for the plugin end up that might be helpful.

It does work for me on other machines. I can't figure out the difference between working and not-working.

Clearly this is not OP's issue, since they were using 5.1.3. However, it worked for me when updating the SD plugin 5.1.2->5.1.3. Maybe that helps others such as @Latent-code that also got tripped up with the way this is distributed.
