Old version is still in auto start when a new one is installed in parallel

After updating Nextcloud to 32.0.5 (32.0.4), the Desktop App Talk (v2.0.5 - Talk v22.0.6) asks for an update at startup, but it is the newest one. It's not possible, to use now.

As far as I can see, the update exists (on the GitHub Releases tab), but the download links on the website have not been updated.

Sorry, I cannot open Nextcloud Talk since 32.0.5 (32.0.4). It closes immediately after starting and then it comes the window as uploaded. We only can start in the browser.

Then I'd suspect there is a request from client to your server, which is failing with code 426 -> that triggers a window to be shown.

Would be nice, if you're able to look up access logs from your server, whether it's tracked there

Where can I find the access logs? I only find the normal logs at administration, and it's 400MB.

You should probably have Apache (or Nginx proxy) that does such logging

Ok, I will ask the provider for the log. It seems that not all desktops are affected by the problem. Now connected with an Windows 11 PC and it works. But not with Windows 10 one.

Also, I'm on Windows 11 and it doesn't work, so I guess the windows version is not behind it.

Okay, we have found a second instance of Nextcloud Talk at C:\Talk, which has startet at windows startup. This was allways before we could start the actual version at AppData\Local\NextcloudTalk. After deleting the old instance, it works.

Thanks, then I'm closing it for now.

If some instance already launched (e.g. you set old Talk app to start with Windows launch), new attempt to open app will bring back already opened app from the tray (which was outdated in your case). If I'm not mistaken, this was fixed by #1435
