Videos cannot be played if "Hide download" is selected

mit https://cloud.evlks.de/s/AqNCqLWmnqSFTf4 habe ich einen öffentlichen Link erstellt, damit interne und externe Nutzer sich die dort hinterlegten Videos ansehen können.

Problem:
Die externe Freigabe habe ich mit „nur anzeigen“ belegt.
Ein Download ist dann immer noch möglich.

Um den Download zu verhindern habe ich die Freigabe individualisiert und den „Haken“ gesetzt bei „Download verbergen“.

Die Folge ist:

1. Der Download ist nicht mehr möglich. (Okay)
2. Die Anzeige (das Abspielen eines Videos im Browser) funktioniert nicht. (Nicht okay)
3. Es wird im Kopfbereich rechts oben immer noch der Button „Herunterladen“ angezeigt. Ein Klick darauf führt zu einer technischen Fehlerseite (Nicht okay)

Frage:
Gibt es dafür eine Lösung?

I created a public link at https://cloud.evlks.de/s/AqNCqLWmnqSFTf4 so that internal and external users can view the videos stored there.

Problem:
I set the external share to "view only."
A download is still possible.

To prevent the download, I customized the share and checked the "Hide download" box.

The result is:

1. The download is no longer possible. (Okay)
2. The display (playing a video in the browser) doesn't work. (Not okay)
3. The "Download" button is still displayed in the top right corner of the header. Clicking it leads to a technical error page (Not okay)

Question:
Is there a solution for this?

Based on your URL you're running v31.0.4 which is an outdated version. I believe the issue you're reporting was already fixed a bit back in >=v31.0.5 (e.g. see #48954 / #52180)

Hi, you can find other issues about the very same topic and explanations about this. This is per design and will not be changed for 31 and older versions.

But, we added a dedicated toggle for the upcoming release, 32.
