[Bug]: Encryption app is enabled, but your keys are not initialized. Please log-out and log-in again in version 31.03 - just like before

Bug description

When logging in desktop clients, Android apps, etc., the named error message is displayed.

However, the login in the browser works.

This behavior also affects version 31.03.

Steps to reproduce

Log in a client, the browser opens.

Enter the login data.

Receive the error message and no access.

Expected behavior

Receive no error message and access.

Can’t login using the iOS Nextcloud app, but can login using Nextcloud Talk. Can login using the browser.

iOS is on version 6.6.0 and hasn’t been updated in a week so it’s possible that it has to be fixed on the client side still.

• 1. Instance: Login with local user + MFA
• 2. Instance: Login with LDAP user, NO MFA

Both fail to login permanently.

I encountered the same authentication issue as reported by others. My workaround on the client side was to log in through the browser and remain logged in, then authenticate the client. This approach seems to bypass the problem temporarily.

How long did you have to wait? Doesn’t seem to work for me. Login from safari has always been fine. But asks for encryption keys to be initialized and to log out and back in on Nextcloud client iOS.

It didn't work on iOS for me either. The client doesn't open the authentication page in the standard browser.

I reinstalled a fresh copy of Nextcloud and updated to the latest stable for Nextcloud server. Same issue with the default encryption module. If I decrypt then disable the encryption module from “apps” I’m able to sign in on IOS. @thomas-temp-git

Nextcloud-Server 31.0.5 - same behavior.....
With a Nextcloud app (floccus), the workaround via the browser is not possible.

I can therefore no longer set it up.
