nginx not displaying index

Steps to reproduce

1. Copy and paste nginx config from nextcloud docs
2. Hopefully identify all line breaks.
3. Remove fastcgi_request_buffering off; For same reason as comment in issue #149
4. Adding letsencrypt certificate
5. nextcloud folder and files owned by www-data.

Expected behaviour

When browsing to nextcloud.mydomain.com I see the first setup page (=index.php)

Actual behaviour

Screen is blank when using Firefox or Safari, Error 403 when using Edge.
Browsing directly to nextcloud.mydomain.com/index.php works fine.

Server configuration

Operating system: Ubungu 14.04

Web server: nginx

Nextcloud version: 9.0

Updated from an older Nextcloud/ownCloud or fresh install: fresh

Where did you install Nextcloud from: nextcloud website

Hi,

Try to change those line on your nginx vhost :

remove

include fastcgi_params;
fastcgi_split_path_info ^(.+\.php)(/.+)$;

and add instead in this order

fastcgi_split_path_info ^(.+\.php)(/.*)$;
include fastcgi_params;
