Activity notifications

Is it possible to get notifications for file or system tag changes on circles?
At the moment you only get notifications if the file/folder is directly shared with the user or a group.

We noticed the same or related issue.
In our installation files in folders shared with circles are effected and shows no activity.

Nextcloud: 24.0.6
PHP: 8.0

Tested it today and we have the same behaviour. I think we have to look at the code, or perhaps @ArtificialOwl can have a look at it?

Does this mean that file activity is not visible for files or folders shared via circles? That used to work before the integration with Contacts (NC 21 and earlier?). A user of an old instance that was updated a few months ago just reported this, and indeed file activity for older files stops at the date of the update. The instance is currently running NC 26.0.6, and we observe the same behavior in other instances running the same version.

Should I open a separate bug report, since this seems to be a regression?
