Allow installation from unofficiall pypi index

I would like the possibility to install and update plugins from unofficial pypi indices.

In our facility we develop plugins that for some reasons dont fit (or even can not) go into the official pypi index. It would still be convenient for our users to be able to use the plugin manager to list and update these plugins.
I know packages can be installed from various sources via the textbox in the lower part of the manager but such packages cannot automatically be updated.

My idea is to add the ability to add more sources for packages/plugins. Something like a dropdown list where you can select either the original package list or any other you have added.

I would be happy to try to implement this but thought i would check the feasibility of it first.

I think that this issue fits better here to discuss about alternative indexes, but maybe I'm wrong.

@xfolka thanks for opening this issue! It's definitely something we should discuss. I think the proposal has merit!

How are you currently sharing these lists of plugins (if at all)? Are you hosting them somewhere? How are folks installing them?
