Beam Properties submenu closes when clicking through options

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Write a bar of 8th notes and range select
2. In Properties, go to note>beam
3. Click through the options, when the beams change the menu closes. In 4.0.2 the menu stays open

Deceptively tricky one...

The way things work currently, the NoteSettings model re-evalutes the current tab (submenu) every time the selection changes. The tab is chosen based on the last relevant item in a selection - for example if you create a list selection of a notehead, then a beam, then a stem - the tab will evaluate to stem as it was the last item added to the selection.

The problem in this case is that changing the beam while in a range selection results in a call to updateSelectedElements. This "rebuilds" the selection and, whenever we encounter a note (appendChordRest), the stem/flag is the last thing we add to our selection (so that's the tab we end up at). Even if we could somehow bypass this, there's another problem which is that there's of course no beam to select after switching to "no beam".

Setting this aside for now - perhaps we could design our way around this one.
