Cleanup unused code and silence warnings

Summary

• strip out unused code and imports across the project
• gate Windows-specific logic with cfg attributes
• prefix intentionally unused struct fields with underscores
• trim obsolete helper functions
• update spawn_gui closure to avoid unused builder warning
