sudo apt remove docker-desktop
Uninstall the tech preview or beta version of Docker Desktop for Linux. Run:
rm -r $HOME/.docker/desktop
sudo rm /usr/local/bin/com.docker.cli
sudo apt purge docker-desktop
- Update the apt package index and install packages to allow apt to use a repository over HTTPS:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install \
ca-certificates \
curl \
gnupg \
lsb-release
- Add Docker’s official GPG key:
sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/keyrings
curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /etc/apt/keyrings/docker.gpg
- Use the following command to set up the repository:
echo \
"deb [arch=$(dpkg --print-architecture) signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/docker.gpg] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
$(lsb_release -cs) stable" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list > /dev/null
Download the docker desktop deb package
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ./docker-desktop-<version>-<arch>.deb
Please edit .env file to change postgres user, password and GitHub user details. Then do the following
cd projects/sf-docker-postgres
docker compose up -d --buid
Have a coffee, relax and wait it to build containers
