Summary

  • Grouped 9 sequential init steps into 4 dependency tiers
  • Tier 1: security + database + telemetry run concurrently
  • Tier 2: 3 chat managers run concurrently
  • Tier 3: cache + skills run concurrently
  • Dependency analysis confirmed all parallel groups are independent

Closes #3015

Test plan

  • Backend starts without errors
  • All services initialize correctly
  • No race conditions between parallel steps
  • Startup time reduced vs sequential baseline

Replaced 9 sequential init steps with 4 dependency tiers using
asyncio.gather():

- Tier 0: env drift + config (sequential, everything depends on it)
- Tier 1: security + database + telemetry (3 parallel)
- Tier 2: chat history + conversation + workflow managers (3 parallel)
- Tier 3: cache coordinator + skills engine (2 parallel)

Reduces startup latency by running independent services concurrently
within each tier.

⚠️ SSOT Configuration Compliance: Violations Found

Metric Count
Total Violations 3
SSOT Violations (high priority) 2
Other Violations 1

⚠️ 2 values have SSOT config equivalents!

These should be replaced with SSOT config imports:

Python:

from src.config.ssot_config import config
# Use: config.vm.main, config.port.backend, config.backend_url

TypeScript:

import config from '@/config/ssot-config'
// Use: config.vm.main, config.port.backend, config.backendUrl
