Updates baseline-browser-mapping from 2.10.40 to 2.11.21

Release notes

Sourced from baseline-browser-mapping's releases.

v2.11.0

What's Changed in 2.11.0

  • feat: Adds a new getTimeline() method for getting the series of minimum browser changes, either grouped by date or by browser.
  • refactor: Substantial refactoring of the data compression process that replaces the full list of browsers from @mdn/browser-compat-data and downstream-browsers.json and features from web-features (in their very pared down form) with a change-list timeline that reflects which versions supported Baseline (newly available) on a given date. Thanks to @swwind for the idea!
  • refactor: Some common functions have been moved to a util.ts module for use in other scripts.
  • fix: Removes process.exit() calls when unsupported option combinations are passed to getCompatibleVersions() and getAllVersions() in favour of throwing an Error. There is a small security risk with process.exit() calls that sites accepting unsanitised inputs could be the subject of attacks. Unsupported config options now throw and Error which should allow for more graceful handling. Thanks to @bnbdr for flagging this as vulnerability CVE-2026-45819 .

Fixes #134

Retargeted to Dev_new_gui (Dev_new_gui-first flow, #11696). Dependabot security updates always open against the default branch; this workflow re-applies the retarget after every Dependabot push, so rebases cannot revert it.

Red is staleness, not a defect — asking dependabot to recreate

Dependency Security Scan fails on PYSEC-2026-3740 (nltk 3.10.3) as "1 unallowed finding", with four recorded allowances. That advisory is allowed on base — .github/workflows/security.yml:195 carries --allow-id PYSEC-2026-3740, added by f4e015527e, a commit titled "clear the two advisories that redden every PR from base".

This branch does not have it:

head 1e9cf9aa7 behind base by 264 commits
allow-id PYSEC-2026-3740 on this head: 0
on origin/Dev_new_gui: 1

So the gate is correct, the finding is real, and the allowance that covers it landed after this branch was cut. Nothing here needs fixing in the code.

Why recreate rather than merge base. I took the branch and merged Dev_new_gui into it: three lockfiles conflict — autobot-frontend, mcp-structured-thinking, and libs/autobot-sdk-ts. Hand-resolving a lockfile is guesswork about a resolver's output, and regenerating one would mean running npm install inside the checkout, which is not something to do to fix a CI red. Dependabot recreates the branch against current base and regenerates the lockfiles with the resolver that wrote them, which is the tool built for exactly this.

@dependabot recreate

Worth recording alongside #16015 and #15937: a branch 264 commits behind, failing a gate base fixed weeks ago, is the clearest case yet for the merge queue. strict: false lets a branch drift arbitrarily far and only discover it when a run happens to fire; a queue tests the merged result, so this red could not exist.

Closing so dependabot can reopen against current base

This branch is 264 commits behind Dev_new_gui and red on Dependency Security Scan for an advisory base allowed weeks ago — --allow-id PYSEC-2026-3740, added in f4e015527e ("clear the two advisories that redden every PR from base"). The gate is correct; the branch predates the allowance.

@dependabot recreate was requested and the branch has not moved since. Rather than leave a permanent red on the board for everyone to re-triage, closing lets dependabot regenerate this on its next run: fresh base, and lockfiles written by the resolver that owns them.

Merging base by hand is not the alternative. On the sibling PR that produced conflicts in three lockfiles — autobot-frontend, mcp-structured-thinking and libs/autobot-sdk-ts. Hand-resolving a lockfile is guesswork about a resolver's output, and regenerating one means running npm install inside the checkout to clear a CI red.

Nothing is lost: the bump is still outstanding upstream and dependabot will raise it again. Whatever it reopens gets reviewed as a new PR, carrying no verdict over from this one — a verdict about a 264-commit-stale branch says nothing about its replacement.

Related: this is the clearest case on the board for the merge queue (#15937 / #14054). With strict: false a branch can drift arbitrarily far and only discovers it when a run happens to fire.
