fix(ci): startup-import-smoke fails - api.transcriber module missing #9551

Closed

Description

@mrveiss

Root Cause

core_routers.py:88 imports from api.transcriber import router but autobot-backend/api/transcriber.py does not exist on main or Dev_new_gui.

The transcriber feature lives at autobot-backend/transcriber/ (a standalone package), not at api/transcriber.py.

CI Failure

Discovered while resolving pre-existing CI failures on Dependabot PR #9512:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'api.transcriber'
  core_routers.py:88

6 tests fail due to this.

Fix

Either:

  1. Create autobot-backend/api/transcriber.py that re-exports the transcriber routers from the transcriber.routes package, OR
  2. Update core_routers.py to import from the correct module path

Comment # Issue #9044, MVA-2186 suggests this was intentional but the file was never created.

Affected File

  • autobot-backend/initialization/router_registry/core_routers.py:88

    Fixed in commit 83038fa

Cherry-picked the fix from 715712473 which creates api/transcriber.py aggregating all transcriber sub-routers.

    Verification:

    • ✅ startup-import smoke test passes (333/333 tests)
    • ✅ Module import error resolved
    • ✅ Pushed to Dev_new_gui

The transcriber router is now properly wired into core_routers at line 90 and registered at line 337.
