feat(notifications): Automated suppression of CI failure notifications #4167

Closed

Description

@mrveiss

Problem

Users receive 4500+ CI/CD notifications (90% of inbox) from workflow failures. No automated way to suppress or filter them, requiring manual cleanup.

Impact

  • GitHub notification inbox unusable (~4957 unread)
  • Manual cleanup needed repeatedly
  • Blocks users from seeing actionable notifications (PRs, reviews, mentions)

Desired Solution

  1. Scheduled workflow to mark old CI notifications as read
  2. GitHub notification rules to auto-archive CI failures by reason
  3. Configurable notification filter for users
  4. Dashboard showing filtered views (actionable vs. noise)

Related

  • Filter config created in session (local only, not applied)
  • Manual mark-as-read scripts created but not automated
