   Starting implementation of LLM-Powered Code Generation and Auto-Refactoring.

   Will implement:

   • LLM integration for code generation (using existing LLM service infrastructure)
   • Prompt templates for common refactoring patterns
   • AST-based code validation pipeline
   • Before/after comparison generation
   • Rollback mechanism for failed refactoring

   Researching existing LLM patterns in the codebase...

   Summary

   Implemented LLM-Powered Code Generation and Auto-Refactoring engine as part of EPIC #217.

   Implementation Details

   New File: src/code_intelligence/llm_code_generator.py (1,135 lines)

   • LLMCodeGenerator: Async code generation with caching and mock mode
   • CodeValidator: AST-based Python syntax/semantic validation
   • DiffGenerator: Unified diff generation for code comparison
   • PromptTemplateManager: Template management for refactoring types
   • 15 RefactoringTypes: extract_function, extract_class, add_type_hints, add_docstring, simplify_conditional, reduce_nesting, improve_naming, split_long_function, add_error_handling, improve_readability, remove_dead_code, add_logging, optimize_loops, add_tests, general
   • Comprehensive dataclasses: CodeContext, RefactoringRequest, RefactoringResult, GeneratedCode, ValidationResult, PromptTemplate
   • Convenience functions: refactor_code(), validate_code(), generate_diff(), list_prompt_templates()

   New File: tests/unit/test_llm_code_generator.py (911 lines)

   • 75 comprehensive unit tests
   • All tests passing ✅

   Updated: src/code_intelligence/__init__.py

   • Added all exports for llm_code_generator module
   • Updated module docstring
