Claude Review
The PR changes only codecov.yml. It replaces coverage.status.patch: true and project: true with default statuses marked informational: true, plus a comment explaining why. Codecov will still report patch and project coverage on every PR, but those checks always pass. The coverage gate is left to ci.yml's threshold check; CLAUDE.md says CI fails below 60% line coverage. This stops Codecov's base-relative targets (effectively 100% on a fully covered repo) from failing a check that PR Auto-Merge would treat as blocking.
The new YAML is valid Codecov syntax at the right level, alongside the existing changes: false and default_rules. Codecov posts informational statuses as success, so they can't block a merge, and nothing else in the config changes.
Things I'm relying on but couldn't check here:
- Codecov's documented behaviour that
informational: truealways reports success, including when no upload arrives. - That
ci.ymldoes enforce.github/ci/coverage-thresholdas the comment says. I didn't openci.ymlor that threshold file. - That
codecov.ymlis managed by the repo-ci-baseline Template. The head commit is a Template Apply, so I assume this change comes from the Template; if it doesn't, the next Apply could overwrite it.
The only diff piece, 001.diff (codecov.yml), was read in full; no files were excluded or left unreviewed.
Verdict: no problems found. Safe to merge.
No findings.
Automated release blog posts for #258, opened by the release workflow. It holds every Release whose post isn't on main yet, rebuilt from main on each run. The [skip-release] title marker keeps its merge from starting another release. Co-authored-by: github-actions[bot] <github-actions[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
