Left the API to "unset" the tags because I had already written the code before realizing glean-core doesn't support it. I can remove it, to wait for a response on Bug 1697198, but I'd rather not since it seems like a no brainer.
Also, I tested it in the sample webext and 🎉 https://debug-ping-preview.firebaseapp.com/pings/ts-webext-test
