TP-Link AX1750 doesn't work

I'm pretty sure TP-Link's AX1750 uses the Realtek 8812BU chipset. It seems to work in Windows 10, but doesn't work with this driver. It says something about security and a tainted kernel? Lol I don't even know what a tainted kernel is yet I know how to compile a linux kernel. Anyways, is there a way to get it to work, or do I need to buy a new USB Wi-Fi adapter?

Also, I used Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04.1 LTS. It has a kernel with a version number as follows:
"6.8.0-41-generic"
I'm OK with compiling kernels, if I need to compile an older one I definitely will. I've been able to compile 2.6.37 leapfrog edition for versatile pb qemu platform no problem, and even Linux 6.(something).
