Windows: Neovim opened with e ignores keyboard input until Enter #1142

Closed

Description

@jeiea

What happened?

Opening Neovim with e renders the editor normally, but it does not respond to keyboard input. Pressing Enter once restores input.

Steps to reproduce

Environment: Windows 11 Pro, build 26200; Windows terminal pwsh; Neovim 0.11.4. Hunk was installed through the npm package and uses its prebuilt Windows binary.

In pwsh, create two small files in a temporary directory:

Set-Content left.txt 'before'
Set-Content right.txt 'after'
$env:EDITOR = 'nvim --clean'
hunk diff --files left.txt right.txt --no-extensions
  1. Press e to open the selected file.
  2. Press j

Expected behavior

The cursor should go down, but not. Pressing enter resolves it.

Version

hunkdiff 0.23.0 (bundled Bun 1.4.2)
