In past we used Angular 1.x, then React+Rudux, now React+MobX - the best for applications with many calculations and derived data. React+MobX codebase is about 10K LOC, team: 2 people.

We use MobX extensively on a project worked on by ±100 developers to drive our reactivity inside security.microsoft.com - they picked MobX (good call 😅 ) before I joined. React+MobX replaces a big Angular project that is/was being rewritten.

It's a pretty big project, possibly the biggest MobX codebase I've seen thus far.

@codeBelt even-though I am a mobx contributor myself I was a backer for several years myself using my own money. If you have any good tips about how to convince my employer to back or what the process is I'd love to learn :)

@benjamingr You will have to talk to your managers and find out if your employer donations to open source. Looks like Microsoft has The Free and Open Source Software Fund (FOSS Fund) https://opensource.microsoft.com/ecosystem/

It took over a month for us (Parallax) to donate but it is great that our company can support an awesome library we rely on. I found that I needed to talk to several people that were open to the idea. After that I would bring up the idea every so often that they would remember to push it up to a higher level.

Think of V-Ray as a virtual digital camera (renderer). The users create their 3D models in a app of preference and use V-Ray to create/apply materials to the scene. Then a final image/sequence of images can be rendered. The asset editor is where the assets/materials are created/manipulated/organized.
