mstsc.exe crashed with error module: WSLDVCPlugin.dll_unloaded

Windows build number: Windows 10 Pro 10.0.21390.1010
Your Distribution version: Ubuntu 21.04
Your WSLg version: 1.0.22 / 1.0.23

Steps to reproduce

WSL logs: Sorry but I cannot get any logs because when this error occurs, I can hardly operate the computer to perform any operations because the crash of mstsc.exe will cause the screen content to keep refreshing.

• Attach WSLg logs from /mnt/wslg

You can access the wslg logs using explorer at: \\wsl$\<Distro-Name>\mnt\wslg (e.g.: \\wsl$\Ubuntu-20.04\mnt\wslg)

• puseaudio.log
• weston.log
• versions.txt

Expected behavior

There will be no errors related to mstsc.exe and the error module WSLDVCPlugin.dll_unloaded, and the computer can be operated normally.

Actual behavior

After running WSL for a while, mstsc.exe is always crashed frequently with the error module: WSLDVCPlugin.dll_unloaded
Like this, and when this error occurs, I can hardly operate the computer to perform any operations, because the crash of mstsc.exe will cause the screen content to keep refreshing. The only way is to forcefully close mstsc.exe and stop WSL.

I have encountered this same problem. It is psychotically annoying.

WSLDVCPlugin.dll is optional. As a dangerous workaround, rename the WSLDVCPlugin.dll file to WSLDVCPlugin.dll.orig (or something) in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WSL folder.

Same issue, multiple times a day. Will try the feature disabling workaround.

Just upgrade your wsl to latest version, it will be fixed.
