Notice how the spacing on the left seems wider compared to on the right:

Agreed. Also nit: Is the + in the title needed? Should it just be "Add Models..." I am not sure.

This spacing is done by the Button widget.

Anyway there is a plan to redesign how models should be added.

I think the spacing just looks off because of the unusual icon on the left of the label.
