  • OS and Version: Linux Ubuntu 20.04
  • VS Code Version: 1.87.0
  • C/C++ Extension Version: v1.19.6
    Not using SSH remote.

Bug Summary and Steps to Reproduce

Bug Summary:
In the C++20 code below, an incorrect Intellisense error is flagged on the operator, when compilation succeeds.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new directory and copy the lines below into a new file, "main.cpp". Save the file.
  2. Enter the directory and start VSCode with "code .".
  3. Set the C/C++ extension's C++ standard to "c++20" (command: C/C++: Edit configurations (UI)).
  4. The error message is flagged on the word "operator" in the main.cpp file.

Expected behavior:

Expected no error message. The code compiles without warnings using "gcc --std=c++20 main.cpp".
