Pack your bags! In the next week or two we'll be moving back into the microsoft/TypeScript repo, re-unifying the issue backlog and consolidating on one place for all TypeScript development.

This means:

• New activity will be locked for a short window of time
• All open bugs will be moved over, so issue numbers will change
• Open PRs will be closed; please re-open them in the TypeScript repo once it's moved over

Update: Issue and PR creation is disabled as we're planning to move the repo next week. Please open bugs in the TypeScript repo and hold off on PRs for a few days as we finalize which ones to merge prior to the move. Thanks!

Just to note the intended plan:

This is (very thankfully) not going to be a "copy the files over and push" situation; the entire git history from this repo will be replayed into the TypeScript repo with a merge commit tying everything together, so blame, authorship etc will be preserved.

The history is going to be replayed inside of a subdirectory; any code here that is unmerged will have to be screwed around with to reapply on the other repo. I think any agent could produce a script to do it, but it should be more or less a simple as adding a prefix to exported patches/diffs.

Once we move, releases won't happen until we can do some internal box-checking to recreate pipelines and get them approved. The move will however enable us to do patch releases again, currently blocked on it being "annoying" to deal with.
