Provide a new feature that let users to filter out certain types from our system so it doesn't show up in any UI

I never want ctypes and I never want pydantic.v1. How do I tell pylance (and vscode more broadly) to ignore these packages?

If there is not a way then consider this a feature request!

for this, you should ping vscode. we don't control UX. we are just one of extensions that provide information to VS. VS decides how to present it to users.

For orders in both, completion and code action. we don't control ordering as well. it is up to vscode.

that said we do control what information is sent to vscode that include things like ctype or pydantic.v1. but we can not globally filter those out since there is always people who might need them.

so, I guess what you are asking is adding new feature that let users to configure what types they want to filter out from our data?

a feature to exclude packages from the index would be awesome! maybe something like this:
