The null reference is the retry policy in ExecuteWorkloadAsync. Setting the retry policy in both constructors.
Tested on Ubuntu 22 VM:

let ids = dynamic(["d6c2f77e-ed01-4f9b-9a7b-e2e055f45be3","a015e4e8-297d-4a94-b837-0afc48719cb9"]);
cluster('azurecrcworkloads.westus2.kusto.windows.net').database('WorkloadPerformance').Metrics_Dev01
| where Timestamp > ago (1d)
| where ExperimentId in (ids)
| where ToolName == "CPS"

let ids = dynamic(["d6c2f77e-ed01-4f9b-9a7b-e2e055f45be3","a015e4e8-297d-4a94-b837-0afc48719cb9"]);
cluster('azurecrcworkloads.westus2.kusto.windows.net').database('WorkloadDiagnostics').Traces_Dev01
| where Timestamp > ago(3d)
| where ExperimentId in (ids)
| sort by Timestamp asc
