TS doesn't watch files for changes

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

• VS Code Version: 1.85.2
• OS Version: All

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Move a file somewhere or rename it
2. See how Typescript doesn't react to this change at all

You constantly have to reload VSCode window for changes to show.

Do you have tsconfig.json/jsconfig.json? Do you have files or include? Do you move file to location that matches include?

Reproduction steps:

1. Go to src/router/routes.ts
2. Rename the import path to something else, e.g. '@/pages/homeupdated';
3. Rename the directory to new name homeupdated and see the error still showing

Still happens if you disable Volar extension (it overtakes TS if enabled) and reload the window

Facing the same issue on our codebase after upgrading to typescript version 4.9. It can pick up the changes but takes a considerable amount of time before that. Can someone help what exactly I need to check?

I'd recommend updating to 5.4 as a first step
