Shall I take this up? I am a newbie so a guide would be useful.

First, the tests go in tests/cases/fourslash. See completionsTypeKeywords.ts for an example.
Then you should be able to debug using a command like gulp runtests-browser --t completionsTypeKeywords (substitute with the name of your new test).

Completions are handled in completions.ts. You can probably put a breakpoint in getKeywordCompletions and work from there.

The await suggestion is still not working as of TS version 3.1.4. It works in older versions like 3.0.1.
