It appears like the code for this repo is not what is actually used in foundry when you launch an agent and use the "Preview agent" option. From that chat site there's another option that links to this repo for the sample code. But the sample code is on the beta Azure.AI.Projects and it only supports uploading image files. The preview option allows uploading a bunch of other file types like .pdf

Fixed ✅ We now support document uploads including:

• PDF, TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, XML
• 20MB limit for documents, 5MB for images
• Up to 10 attachments per message

TL;DR: Commit 8da7918 added full document upload support via the Azure AI Foundry Responses API.

Note: Office formats (docx, pptx, xlsx) still require special parsing and aren't supported by the Responses API directly.
