How to hide the header

I have made
public static int ASWV_LAYOUT = 1;
as I don't want the fullscreen

after changing ASWV_LAYOUT = 1;
at the top of the apps it has a header with
Menu, Search and Exit icon

How can i hide this header when I am not in fullscreen.

In layout/drawer_main_bar.xml set app_bar to gone, like this:

<com.google.android.material.appbar.AppBarLayout

Then, also comment out this code block inside MainActivity > setupLayout() to prevent any null point errors.

by doing this the contents of the header is gone means the search icon and the exit icon has remove
But the blank header bar is still there.
I want the header bar to be remove totally
and also want to remove the MENU

Got it.
Do this, in place of the removed code block (as mentioned above) from MainActivity > setupLayout() place this:

This will completely remove the menu bar. No need to alter drawer_main_bar.xml either.
I will be adding a flag for this option in next release it will make handling such ui elements easier.

Now the Header is gone away

1. Menu is still there when we swipe from left to right the menu is comming out.
2. After removing header It is showing just like fullscreen means
   a) showing the website under the mobile screen header where date time network battery icon are showing.
   b) as the site is move up, now there is a blank space showing at the bottom of the apps.

It seems like you don't want the drawer layout at all, why not simply switch to the fullscreen layout then? As Answered in the duplicate query, you just have to change the layout to fullscreen instead of drawer, currently the variable is ASWV_LAYOUT, set it to 0 in SmartWebView.java.

For future reference: new config variables are located in app/src/main/assets/swv.properties (v7.4 onwards) and for layout, opt for ui.layout=0

Regarding transparent header and blank space at bottom, let's fix it in v7.4 release.

I’ve set ui.layout=1 because I don’t want the fullscreen mode.
Set the main app layout. 0 = Fullscreen, 1 = Drawer Layout
ui.layout=1

Since I also don’t want the app’s header (which includes the menu or toolbar), I disabled it:
Show the header/toolbar when ui.layout is 1
ui.drawer.header=false

However, this setup causes the content to overlap with the system status bar, similar to fullscreen mode — and there's also extra padding at the bottom.

What I want is:
No header
No fullscreen
Content should not overlap with the system status bar

How can I achieve this layout correctly?

Issue Description:
There's a minor issue with the height of the content area. When I set ui.layout = 1 and ui.drawer.header = false, the header is correctly hidden, but its space is still being reserved. As a result, there's an unused gap between the system status bar and the content area.

I would suggest switching to ui.layout=0 for now which will basically solve all these UI related issues, and in next release we can take care of this wrongly reserved space in view also.
