I have been trying to get a somewhat accurate GPS location on my T-echo for several weeks now. I have taken the device on a road trip and it is consistently off by about 3Km. I was on build 2.5.20 and recently updated to 2.6.11 beta, no change in the location. Is this a f/w issue or h/w issue? no idea. I'm about to brick the device an try with a new order. Any advice/thoughts/guidance? |

By default Meshtastic protects your privacy by reducing the precision of the location. You can change the precision in channel settings: |

the meshtastic CLI allows me to set accuracy to about 150ft. I cannot fathom why this is not available in the mobile app. "to protect your privacy"? Seems like bs. This is not a consumer device and is not really a consumer app. (frustrated) |

yes, it seems the min I can get to is 700m resolution from the iOS app. Even then it seems to randomly reset to 1.5km. |
