Bigscape v2 run-time error after loading antiSMASH 8-beta GBK files

I installed the Bigscape v2 beta per wiki instructions. I was able to run it without error on another computer last week, but on my new device I am receiving the following error message. I am using an input folder containing antismash8 data. It gets hung up on this step and does not proceed.

I tried the same analysis using antismash7 results, and it worked fine. This is likely due to some formatting of the antismash8 results?

Hi! Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I'm seeing the same error happening on the AS8 beta.

I've been in contact with the antiSMASH team, the current AS8.dev-0de8f3d7 beta has a bug that slightly changed file format w.r.t cand_cluster numbering, meaning BS2 currently cannot correctly parse these files. This should be resolved whenever the final version of AS8 is released.
