Prerequisites

Before you get started with wordpress, make sure you have a server. I am using MAMP and all the steps below will be MAMP-specific.

Download and install MAMP
Start MAMP and start server and click Open WebStart Page
on the WebStart page, click Tools then click PHPMYADMIN
on PHPMYADMIN, create a new database and keep note of the following information: database name, username, password, and host.

Getting Started

download wordpress
unzip and move the unzipped folder titled 'wordpress' to your htdocs directory NOTE: I am using MAMP on a mac. my htdocs is in Applications/MAMP/
fork this repository and download it then unzip
open the unzipped HTI-master folder and navigate to ⁨HTI-master⁩/⁨wp-content⁩/themes⁩ and locate custom-hti
move the custom-hti folder to ⁨htdocs⁩/⁨wordpress⁩/wp-content⁩/⁨themes⁩
start your server and navigate to the server startup page
follow the wordpress installation
