This was done in order to resolve Issue #1168 on @jhomlala's repo. We decided to fork off of @matthewrice345's repo because we needed the fix for Issue #1057 in our repo as well.
Re-opening a PR. I accidentally merged Issue1057 into this Issue1168 branch and everything got a bit messy.
