Follow semantic versioning #419
Description
- This library does not follow semantic versioning. Some minor versions introduce breaking changes.
- It would be helpful to follow semantic versioning.
- Decide if we're going to follow it
- Explicitly state that we're following it (for example, in the README)
- Enforce semantic versioning in releases.
