Are there any plans to use open-source hardware RISC-V components in future replacing existing ones?

Hello, it is too early to say. The plan is to use Raspberry Pi 4/5 initially.

That said, in the long run, this project will need an AI/ML inference accelerator for real-time object avoidance / object recognition - and it is conceivable that the AI accelerator might use RISC-V (or ARM)
