Certain Merge fields not transferred

It seems like, for example STOREID or STORECODE don't get synced to Mailchimp, if the user is not subscribed to the newsletter. Once the user subscribes to the newsletter, STORECODE/STOREID/... get populated.

I am talking about list members.

Here nowhere any restriction is mentioned. all listmembers, irrelevent whether subscribed or not, have mergefields.

We are having this problem as well. WEBSITE and STORECODE are never transferred, and STOREID is transferred intermittently. About 25% of all customers do not have STOREID set in Mailchimp.

Please consider, that store-code is necessary for abandoned cart functionality to send localized emails.
It's not enough to just sync these merge-field for subscribed list-members only.

Thanks for your feedback on this.
To be honest, this is not the priority right now. Customers can only be targeted by transactional emails meaning that having extra information will not add any functionality. If MailChimp For Magento is configured per store view then Automations will send the email only to the customers belonging to the correct store view.

We are working on some other features such us adding support for "Shopping Cart price rules" and improving performance in certain processes.

We do plan to add this but there is no ETA because it is not a game changing feature.

When sending customers we are restricted on which fields can be added.
The only way I see these fields being sent for customers is sending them as subscribers with transactional status. This is not how customers are supposed to be sent and must be tested properly to be sure it does not affect the functionality of Automations.

Hi. I spend hours to test multiple integration configs to figure out why the STOREID was not sync to mailchimp from my mage (CE 1.7.0.2). Also with the official mailchimp support (and stil...).

Finally I found this topic.

My problem is: in mailchimp, we have all customers into one list.
I'm trying to sync my multistore magento to this unique mailchimp list (i configured mailchimp at website scope). Below I have 2 stores: FR and DE.

Retrieving the STOREID in mailchimp is the only way for us to organize language target campaigns.

But finally, If it's not possible to transfer the STOREID in a reliable way, what are the alternatives for us?

I'd really appreciate if you guys, as experimented mailchimp users, you have any suggestion for me ;)

Use separate list? We never use 1 list for multiple language stores. For 1: the risk of not correctly segmenting and sending a german email To your complete database is too large

@seansan Thank you for your fast feedback. So if I understand correctly, the best practice regarding syncing magento data (multistore) into mailchimp is connecting each store to a specific mailchimp list?
