Personal user of Cloudlog for nearly 2 years. Doing updates to the code is a bit beyond me without sitting down and learning how it all works from scratch. Keep up the great work and thanks to all those who contribute for us users to enjoy. Stephen M5SJM |

Updating should be fairly straightforward if your overwriting the files /application/config is the only part you need to make sure you don't overwrite. Everything else should handle itself. |

One thing that would be nice to have is an upload to Clublog checkbox when uploading an ADIF file to bypass the realtime service. Or maybe a more elegant solution is to check if there are more than lets say 10 QSOs and call a regular upload instead to reduce load on the API. Also for the dark themes, I think dark input boxes with light grey text would look more pleasant compared to the white ones. Really enjoying Cloudlog, it's fantastic! |

Oooh used it for around 2 years for my own mega station. Up until a couple of months ago I had it running on a RPi zero running DietPi but moved it to a commercial webhost Use.cloudlog-rigctl-interface with an ic7300 and a RPi 4. A simple script starts it all up with a desktop shortcut. Not perfect, could do with a gui but works flawlessly Just a quick note to say that I wouldn't use LotW unless Cloudlog did it all for me. |

This would be better in its own subject but the simple reason is Omnirig uses 32bit integers which are useless for microwave frequencies. |

I have only been using Cloudlog for a couple weeks, but that is because I only stared getting into HF a couple weeks ago ;)
At the moment, all of my HF work is FT8/FT4 so the workflow is JTDX --> Log4OM --> Cloudlog Loving Cloudlog! 73s |

Hi,
I don't know exactly when I was starting using cloudlog as daily log - it
must be something in June 2019 I think.
I am using it with our without cloudlogCat connection to my FT-857... when
using portable equipment or the equipment of my father in law I use it
without any rig-controller... but it is planned to enable it also on his
ft-1000 and so on.
In my club we also installed a instance for logging with our clubstation
next year when having anniversary (70 years of DARC Q03 with special DOK
70Q03 for DL0NK). Here I am looking for a fool-proof solution to have
different ops using their own station profiles for logging (to have
different operator-callsigns in the log and individual log-ins for the
members). Here clouglog offers actually not really a good support for.
My personal installation is synced automatically with LOTW, QRZ, Clublog
and manually with eQSL via the functionalities in Cloudlog. Its working ok
:-)
I am looking forward to using the Contest-Logging-functionallity soon the
next weeks :-)

- I have it running on Debian in Hyper-V on Windows Server alongside
quite a few other personally hosted web apps, MySQL runs directly on
Windows Server.
- I do not use the CAT interface.
- I currently use Cloudlog as a secondary logbook. I did the initial
import from Log4OM to Cloudlog by exporting the ADIF from Log4OM and then
importing it into Cloudlog. I really like the user interface, maps, and
analytics provided by Cloudlog. Plus, the mobile theme is really great!
- I keep Cloudlog automatically synced from Log4OM with a custom
dotnet core app that I wrote last week that acts as a bridge between the
two. I have not yet published that app, but I plan to in the near future.
The app auto starts with Log4OM and automatically uploads any QSOs that are
saved in Log4OM, and in the event that the connection to Log4OM is
unavailable, such as operating offline, the QSOs are queued to a temp ADIF
file for sending later once the connection to Cloudlog is re-established.
- I do NOT use any upload FROM Cloudlog to QRZ/LoTw/etc. I use Log4OM
to do all of the uploading, but I do use the confirmation download FROM
LoTW and eQSL into cloudlog via cronjob.
At the moment, all of my HF work is FT8/FT4 so the workflow is JTDX -->
Log4OM --> Cloudlog

Fairly new user here. Only been using for a couple weeks. Ive been running on a Raspberry PI 3 on the default RaspberryPiOS as I had problems getting dietPi to do its own LAMP. Found it simpler to just do it myself on the minimal OS install Img. Been super stable so far with no reboots required. I log from a triple boot machine running Windows, Linux, and MacOSX. I was looking for a solution I could log from anywhere and have the same info across all platforms. This seemed to fit the bill perfect and if I was ever in another location I could still log via the web. I compiled both the .NET utilities ADIFpush and FT8spotter for WSJTX. Been using both without much problems. I tried using them at the same time but they don't seem to like to work together. Tried localhost IP port and also a Multicast address with no luck. I also got Cloud Log Bash Cat working with rigctld on the Mac. Haven't tried on Windows just yet, but that will come next week. I suspect it will be easier on Windows as there are a few GUIs already built. Im using an Icom-7300 connected via USB. Ive tried all the functions for QRZ, LOTW, eQSL, and Clublog. Everything works great so far. Thanks for this! |

I'm sure @M0LTE will help with ADIF push items for FT-8 I'm not going to be much use on that front although feel free to start a separate thread on it, CloudlogCAT should work without much hassle uses Omnirig etc. |

I use Cloudlog for personal use, but am also looking to let it be my public-facing "brag list" for friends who are fellow nerds. I run it on a DigitalOcean hosted server and do use CloudlogCAT with a Flex 6400 and it works very well together. I'm also using ADIFpush to get digital QSOs automatically logged from WSJT-X (it isn't perfect in interfacing, but works 90% of the time.) I use Cloudlog for personal use, mostly for tracking my satellite contacts, I previously kept just a giant spreadsheet with all my contacts and wanted to do better analytics. I run it on an AWS lightsail instance with VPC peering set up so the database can be on an RDS MySQL instance in a private subnet. For a long time I was doing manual LotW exports and uploads but now I just let Cloudlog handle it all. Thanks and 73! |

Ah ok, is there a way to load and delete the cert via cron? If so, both options can work via cron, i.e. upload QSOs (like once per week for QSOs not uploaded via gridtracker) or download just the matches (like once or twice per day). Or create an 'index.php/lotw/lotw_download' next to the lotw_upload? |

In late 2021, I switched from GridTracker doing the LoTW upload to Cloudlog being the only one doing the upload. All other tools (like GridTracker but also some scripts) log into Cloudlog. Meanwhile, the OS has been upgraded to FreeBSD 13, PHP to 8.1 and the web server from Apache to Nginx. Also, in 2022, Cloudlog was also used as a logbook for a special event station we ran with some colleagues from work. |

I use Cloudlog as my secondary logbook, and I've been playing with it for nearly a year. For the time being, I'm just running it locally on my machine at home, Several years ago, I started developing a system in PHP and MySQL for displaying various statistics. The statistics included DXCC, WAS, WAZ, IOTA and VUCC for awards. Other statistics included distances worked, timeplotter, timeline, accumulated statistics and days with QSOs. Much of the things mentioned above, can now be seen in Cloudlog, as I have expanded those sections a lot with my own work. I've also contributed to the QSL card image upload, contest logging and got the ball running regarding themes. I help out where I can, when I find some time to play with things. Andreas, LA8AJA. |

Late reply. I use it as my main logger coming back to the radio stuff after 5+ years of very low activity. I haven't had kept a log since it was no longer a requirement but with FT8 I needed to go back to using one. Using Cloudlog on a Pi inside a Docker container talking to a MySQL backend. Had to fork waarlandit/cloudlog:latest and build it to run on Arm chipsets. Wrote a little glue code (https://github.com/HakanKoseoglu/pyCloudLogPusher) to link WSJT-X etc. to the CloudLog. Works very well for me. |

Im using cloud log as cloud storage. My frontend ist the app CloudLogOffline. 80% of the time Im doing portable activities i.e. COTA, SOTA, FF using the app and then afterwards upload it to cloudlog for further processing. I wrote a software that prints my QSL-cards automatically from the cloudlog CSV export. Works charming. |

I started using it a couple weeks ago as my primary logger after about a year of using CQRLog (which is also nice but I'm finding I prefer Cloudlog). I run it on my ham radio PC which is running Pop_OS Linux along with wsjtx, fldigi, qsstv, and pat/ardopc for winlink. I have Cloudlog pushing QSOs into qrz in realtime, and cronjobs to sync lotw and clublog (and sync eqsl manually). |

Pleased your getting on with it OK, Yes need to get eQSL sync running via cronjobs soon, trying to build Station Logbooks at the moment to group Station Locations so you can get stats etc over multiple "locations" |

I've been using Cloudlog since the summer of 2022, when I got my ham radio licence. It has proved to be the best logging option for me (especially easy access from different locations, which is not the case with offline software). I use it as my personal logbook. |

Danke für Deine E-Mail. Ich habe CloudLog in einer VM auf dem PC
betrieben. eine gute Anleitung auf Deutsch dazu gibt es hier:

Ich glaube aber, dass es für den ADIF-Import egal ist, auf welcher
Plattform Cloudlog läuft.
Ein How-2 habe ich noch nicht geschrieben, aber hier ein paar Hinweise
für den ADIF Import:
* CloudLog mag keine Umlaute äöü und Sondergeödel wie ß è è ê etc.
Hier muss per SUCHEN & ERSETZEN vor dem Importieren korrigiert
werden z. b. ö durch oe ersetzen.
* Informationen, die redundant sind, sollten nicht in CloudLog
importiert werden.
Beispiel:
Mit dem Rufzeichen "DL6DAE" ist bereits sonnenklar, dass Du
aus Deutschland stammst
Deine CQ Zone
Deine ITU Zone
Diese Informationen fügt CloudLog automatisch nach dem Export dazu
und das perfekt.
* Generell musst Du Dir überlegen, welche Informationen Du nach
ClodLog hochladen willst.
Beispiel:
QSO Ende. Das logge ich nie, wenn dann schreibe ich in die
Anmerkungen "langes, nettes QSO = französisch = Plausch über ..."
(man beachte die Sonderzeichen!!). Also importiere ich es auch nicht.
* Ich führe mein Log in CALC (Pendant zu EXCEL).
Da habe ich in PYTHON den ADIF-Export programmiert. Das Programm
füge ich als Anhang (Schriftfarbe blau, nur gut lesbar wenn eine
Schrift mit fester Zeichenbreite z. B. Courier verwendet wird)bei.
Wenn Du ein bißchen (Sonderzeichen!) programmieren kannst, solltest
Du damit zu Recht kommen.
Trotzdem erläuternd dazu:
o Der Header ist Pflicht und muß genau wie beschrieben am Anfang
des ADIF-Files stehen.
o Minimal werden die Felder:
Call (der kontaktierten Station)
Frequenz (des QSOs)
Mode (des QSOs z. B. CW)
Datum (des QSOs)
Zeit (Beginn des QSOs als UTC)
benötigt. Ohne diese geht nichts.
o Die Daten MÜSSEN vorhanden UND gültig sein, d. h. beim Datum
MUSS ein Datum stehen und nicht "weiß nicht mehr wann" (bei mir
in CALC alles möglich :-(
* Der Aufbau eines Datensatzes im ADIF Format ist immer der gleiche:
<Schlüsselwort:Länge des folgenden Textes>Dein Text
Beispiel:
<CALL:6>DL8NBM>
Das Schlüsselwort "CALL" gibt an um welche Info es sich handelt
(hier das Call Sign der kontaktierten Station). Damit weiß CloudLog
in welches Datenfeld die Information fließen soll.
Die "6" bedeutet, dass das Call Sign 6 Buchstaben lang ist.
Danach folgt "DL8NBM" = die eigentliche Information.
">" bedeutet, dass dieses Datenfeld fertig ist.
Nun folgen weitere Datenfelder zu anderen Informationen /
Schlüsselfeldern, die genau gleich aufgebaut sind. Sie beginnen
immer mit "<" und enden mit ">".
Damit CloudLog weiß, dass alle Informationen ein Datensatz (= ein
QSO) vorliegen und evtl. ein weiterer Datensatz (= nächstes QSO)
folgt, wird ein Datensatz (bestehend aus vielen Datenfeldern) mir
"<EOR>" (= End of Record)abgeschlossen.
Das gilt auch für den letzten Datensatz.
* Schlüsselwörter:
CALL Rufzeichen der kontaktierten Station
COMMENTKommentar zum QSO
GRIDSQUARELocator der kontaktierten Station
MODE Betriebsart (z. B. CW, SSB, FM, ...)
NAME Name des OPs der kontaktierten Sation
QSL_RCVD Hast Du eine QSL-Karte bekommen?
QSL_SENT Hast Du eine QSL-Karte verschickt?
QTH ...der kontaktierten Sation
RST_RCVD rst, das Dir gegeben wurde
RST_SENT rst, das Du vergeben hast an die
kontaktierte Sation
FREQ:7 Frequenz des QSOs in Hz
QSO_DATE Datum an dem das QSO stattgefunden
hat im Format JJJMMTT
TIME_ON Wann hat das QSO begonnen? Format HHMMSS in UTC, nicht local
time
STATION_CALLSIGN Dein Rufzeichen bzw. das des Operators
MY_CITY Dein Ort, von dem aus das QSO
gefahren wurde
MY_GRIDSQUARE Dein Locator, von dem aus das QSO gefahren wurde
Mehr importiere ich nicht, da Cloudlog alle anderen - für mich
relvanten - Informationen selber ergänzt.
Hier musst Du aber überlegen, was Du brauchst. Bei einer Clubstation
vermutlich noch den OP und den DOK der erreichten Station, und und
und ...
Ich füge auch ein ADIF-File bei, bei dem der Import problemlos klappt
Keine Hemmungen bei Importversuchen:
Du kannst ja problemos wieder alle Datensätze löschen und von vorne
anfangen. Aber Achtung:
Wenn ihr CloudLog bereits aktiv benutzt sind dann ratz fatz die
aktuellen QSOs weg. Also vorher die aktuellen Datensätze als ADIF
exportieren oder beim Löschen aufpassen, aufpassen, aufpassen!!
*Melde Dich, wenn Du Probleme hast, gerne auch telefonisch (hier kein
Handyempfang, FN verwenden) oder "on air".**
**Wenn alle Stricke reisen, schicke mir einfach die Daten, vorzugsweise
als csv oder adif. Ich bereite sie Dir dann auf und schicke zurück.**

Hi, I use Cloudlog for personal. After getting back in the air i needed a good logging platform to merge all my old logs and QSL card. It ended up being CloudLog. It runs on my VPS wich in turn runs Debian. Install was straight forward and it ran out of the box (wel git actually).
If you use any tools with Cloudlog not listed above I am still looking for either 2 new features or tools to make it work. I listed the in the features request. 73 de PD5WL |

Hi, Just started testing it, currently use Log4OM for long time but willing to change due to slowness issues. Using CloudlogCAT with a FTDX 10 or also tried CloudlogTCI with my Hermes Lite 2 and Thetis, I also have a SunSDR2 DX thus would be using CloudlogTCI as well with it. Also installed CloudlogAurora. For now I like the interface a lot but would rather prefer to have the cluster directly connected and also visible from the QSO window. 73 de XV9Q / XV9BPO Greg |

I self-host CloudLog ( latest version now) on Ubuntu 22.04.3LTS I have tried a few logging progs. since being back to Radio this last year or two but found CLoudLog "fits" the way I work.
Thanks for such a great tool. EXample for Top9 reporting below ( others who want to use it may have to add mode in the select - I am 100% CW )

I'm using Cloudlog as my main personal logging platform, and updating LoTW & QRZ from CL It's much easier to log to one Cloudlog logbook from my PC at home & my laptop (when out & about, hoping to get started with SOTA & POTA this year) Also using Aurora for logging from WSJT-X. Cheers. Win 10 PC |

Use cloudlog as my central logbook. WSJT-X logs in Cloudlog. All HAM apps should log in cloudlog (HRD is still not connected)... From cloudlog the information is replicated to internet logs. |

Fantastic I agree it makes a perfect central log to keep things together :) I'm not aware of HRD support, nor am I aware of an API that might integrate with Cloudlog Aurora but happy to be told otherwise! |

Apparently HRD can write in other databases via ODBC or SQL databases. But in my case I don't know how to set this up between HRD and cloudlog. Maybe someone else did try it already or maybe wrote a script. HRD writes directly in HRDlog.net, so HRD has an outgoing interface. Maybe duplicating this interface and redirecting it to Cloudlog and map the incoming interface towards the cloudlog fields ? Just an Idea |

help needed on CL .. installed in a new Ubuntu VM on U-raid server 100% working so it seems... looks really good. I like this logger look cool.. been looking for one for some time. (being a Linux old timer I love to see stuff makes me want to us it even more) So I have it install but 2 big things Are stopping me ... enter a call, qrz or HamQTH will not work . i have loged in to both and they work. So Not a user/password problem, (Qrz got the KEY) I get nothing all blank, and even when I log someone in by typing call,band,mod,name and hit save nothing. shows 0 hans, no one loged yet...mumble... i know this might no be the place to ask for help .. if not where can I ? Hi John
This may not be your issue but I have had the odd item not working and it was due to the incorrect version of PHP being installed.
I am using PHP Version 8.3.8 and all works fine here.
You can check this out by looking in the Debug information on the ribbon bar

Although Cloudlogs been around since about 2012 I generally have no clue who uses it and how, so I'd be interested to know.
Any other info you'd love to share with us, that you think might be useful to others and the developers 👍🏻
