Cannot change special price on specific store view

Preconditions and environment

• Magento 2.4.8-p3, default installation

Steps to reproduce

1. Set price scope to "website" in admin : Stores -> Config -> Catalog -> Catalog -> Price -> Catalog Price Scope : Website
2. Create a simple product named "test" with a price of 100 and a special price of 90, then save
3. Change the scope to "Default Store View"
4. Go to advanced pricing, uncheck "use default value" and set special price to 80

Expected result

• The default special price remains unchanged
• Special price on Default Store View is now 80

Actual result

• Special price on "All store view" scope is now 80
• The "Use Default Value" checkbox for the Special Price attribute in the "Default Store View" scope is checked, and the attribute is not updated.

Thank you for the report and your collaboration.
We attempted to reproduce the reported issue on our 2.4-develop instances, but were unable to replicate the behavior.

Here are the steps we followed:

• Set Catalog Price Scope to Website via:
• Admin → Stores → Configuration → Catalog → Catalog → Price → Catalog Price Scope: Website
• Created a simple product named "test" with:
• Price: 100
• Special Price: 90
• Then saved the product.
• Changed the scope to Default Store View.
• Navigated to Advanced Pricing, unchecked "Use Default Value", and set the Special Price to 80.

After following these steps, we did not encounter any issues. Kindly recheck on your end and let us know if you're still able to reproduce the problem. If there are any additional steps or conditions we might have missed, please share them so we can investigate further.
