php 5.3 Namespaces

I know it is a good idea to be backwards compatible. But isn't it more important to be forwards compatible? I mean, we dont want too look back in a few years and wish it was done right from the start. Besides php 5.3 is pritty much supported everywhere, and we dont even know when Magento2 will be ready for production and by then I'm sure namespacing would be an appreceated feature. Isn't that why namespaces was introduced to php anyway? To be used in larger frameworks like Mangeto.

Magento 2 will use Namespaces and require PHP 5.4 #330

I think this issue is fixed in 2.0.0.0-dev46 commit.

Yes, Magento is using namespaces right now and minimal version is 5.4
