Open Cmd as a VS child window

Request for a feature to have the command window open as a child window of VS that can be docked - this would be similar to the experience in VS Code.

What you're looking for is Whack Whack Terminal. Be warned, while VS Code may be good at not freezing the UI while other operations (like a git pull) are happening, Visual Studio is very bad at this. Every time you run a command in the integrated terminal that modifies any of the files in the solutions, you'll see it freeze up until the task is complete. I recommend still using an external console in Visual Studio to avoid this.
