##Documentation for OBDII protocols
- OBDII standard consist of four different protocols, to help you understand the protocols use the links below.
- ISO protocol also known as 9141-2. This protocol is used on most non-US models and some US model cars. A varient of this protocol is the Key Word protocol.
- VPW protocol is mainly used on GM vechiles
- PWM protocol is mainly used on Ford vechiles
- CAN or controler area network protocol is used on some post 2004 vechiles
