Description
Issue
Early war RMats are extremely difficult to come by, while efficient logistics at scale requires flatbeds. RMats for flatbeds compete with early concrete and heavy weapons. This can result in unpleasant early-war gameplay surrounding component mines, particularly as informal codes of ettiquette surrounding use are not always immediately apparent to new players. This can also result in early components being dominated by regiments as they have the manpower to harvest yield-boosting oil and camp out the mines. This is an example of game mechanics undermining internal faction cooperation and cohesion through zero-sum equations relating to resources.
Proposals
- Change flatbeds to cost BMats (100x3) instead of RMats (30). This would immediately relieve strain on early game logi, especially for solo players.
- Increase the number of component mines or component mine output.
- Enable component mining at a reduced rate with hammers, bringing component fields into play from the beginning of the war.
- Add new flatbed with cost RMats, which can hold x2 small containers / large items and add a smaller version which costs bmats
