Can't install in BHCC site as requires Linkit ^6.0-beta1

Attempting to see if possible to do an intrasite migration by installing the modules into the existing site.
Ran into this problem, where composer will not install localgov_core modules (and thus any localgov module) because of the Linkit dependancy.

Is there a reason it is set at version 6? Since our policy is to generally prefer stable modules over pre-releases unless there is some critical functionality it would be good to know if its possible to downgrade to Linkit 4 or if we need to look into linkit upgrade path first.

Linkit 6 does actully work, if this works ok with our comms team we may upgrade to it, although it is a beta not stable release.

Is there any big differences between Linkit 4 and Linkit 6 (which is in beta) that we need to be aware of?
