  • aaaa40b Remove support for className prop migrate: see “Remove className” below

Remove className

The className prop was removed. If you want to add classes to some element that wraps the markdown you can explicitly write that element and add the class to it. You can then choose yourself which tag name to use and whether to add other props.

Before:

<Markdown className="markdown-body">{markdown}</Markdown>

After:

<div className="markdown-body">
  <Markdown>{markdown}</Markdown>
</div>

  • Draft comment:
    Bumping react-markdown to version 10.1.0 removes support for the 'className' prop. Ensure that any existing usage of react-markdown that relied on className is updated (e.g., using an external wrapper for styling).
  • Reason this comment was not posted:
    Comment did not seem useful. Confidence is useful = 0% <= threshold 50% The comment is about a dependency change, specifically about the removal of support for a prop in a new version of a library. It suggests ensuring that existing usage is updated, which is a form of asking the author to double-check their changes. This violates the rule against asking the author to ensure behavior is intended or to double-check things.
